About Jesse
Jesse Salinas has spent his life dedicated to the principles of fair governance, ensuring that public institutions remain accountable and accessible to every resident of Yolo County.
"My journey in public service is rooted in a deep-seated belief in transparency and community equity. I was appointed as Yolo County’s Assessor, Clerk-Recorder, and Registrar of Voters in 2016 and re-elected in 2018 and 2022. I have worked to transform how these offices serve the public. Through my work I am proud to have won multiple national awards including Outstanding Election Administration from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and a Guardian Award from the National Association of Election Officials
I have more than 35 years of fiscal and management expertise in the public and nonprofit sector with a proven track record of creative problem solving and collaborative management strategies that have resulted in increased staff productivity, improved program efficiency, and enhanced customer service. I also have policy and budget leadership experience at the state level with the President Pro Tem of the State Senate and at the local level with the County Administrator's Office."
